 In 1963, Carson Dean founded Hannibal’s Electrical Construction Company in the industrial area of Greenbrae with several other electrical construction companies. With the manpower of approximately twenty electricians, Carson Dean concentrated on the construction of custom single family dwellings, and multi-unit developments throughout the Marin and Sonoma county areas. He was one of the exclusive dealers of Square D distribution and switch gear in the area, with the majority of all main and distribution panels still in existence today.
In 1971, Dan McGoon started with Hannibal’s Electric (sweeping the shop floors) working his way from the shop, to the office, then to the field. First incorporated in 1978, the company moved away from residential construction and concentrated on commercial development, design and build, tenant improvements, and commercial building maintenance. This continues through today with the addition of commercial and energy efficient lighting design, and environmental recovery of lamps and ballasts.
